Parks For The People: A Transformative Vision for Public Spaces
A vibrant and inclusive public park system is an essential part of any thriving city. It provides a place for people to gather, connect with nature, and enjoy a variety of recreational activities. Parks also play a vital role in promoting physical and mental health, as well as reducing crime and improving air quality.
In recognition of the importance of parks, the City of Boston held a public meeting at Faneuil Hall on June 19th, 2023. The meeting brought together over 100 residents, community leaders, and elected officials to discuss the future of Boston's parks and open spaces. The meeting was part of a larger effort by the city to develop a comprehensive plan for parks and open spaces that will guide decision-making for the next decade.
