Early Life

Napoleon Bonaparte was born on August 15, 1769, in Ajaccio, Corsica. His father, Carlo Bonaparte, was a lawyer, and his mother, Letizia Ramolino, was a devout Catholic. Napoleon was the second of eight children. He had a difficult childhood, and he was often bullied by his older brother, Joseph.
